The Dawn Court · Alchemist & Tinkerer
Nuan
The hand that out-thought a poison.
A Dawn Court alchemist and tinkerer who, working from faebane left behind by Hybern's strike on Velaris, devised the antidote that blunted the poison meant to strip Prythian's High Fae of their power.

The work · Against the poison
A cure read out of an attack.
Faebane was Hybern's quietest cruelty: a poison that did not kill so much as unmake, sealing a faerie's magic behind their own skin and leaving the most powerful beings in Prythian as helpless as mortals. When Hybern's forces struck Velaris, traces of the poison were recovered — and from those samples Nuan worked backward, an alchemist turning an enemy's weapon inside out until it gave up its shape. What she produced was not a miracle but a measure: an antidote that made faebane go largely unfelt, enough to hand the courts back their power on the field. She gave it to her High Lord, Thesan, and Thesan carried it to the others. A war that might have been lost in the blood turned, in part, on a workbench in the Dawn Court.
The maker · Of the Dawn Court
Substance and mechanism, in one pair of hands.
Nuan belongs to Thesan's court of first light, where the eastern mountains catch the sun before anywhere else in Prythian wakes — a fitting seat for someone whose gift is making the unseen workable. Her hands hold two crafts at once: alchemy, the art of altering what a thing is, and tinkering, the art of building what a thing can do. She is High Fae of Xian heritage — and the antidote she devised became, briefly, among the most important things made in any court.
