His people
The ones who mattered.

What he loves
The sea, and no one over it.
Skull's Bay runs on his terms, and that's exactly how he likes it.
The open sea
The map on his hands shows the water and what hunts in it. He'd still rather be out there.
His fleet
His ships, his flag, his rules over Skull's Bay.
A hard bargain
He'll deal with anyone. He'll just make sure he comes out ahead.
No crown over him
Kings are a problem other people have.
The sea
The map inked across his hands charts every water he's crossed and everything in it that bites — and he still chooses the water. Skull's Bay is his because he took it and holds it, no crown involved. Aelin strong-armed him onto her side of the war; she never got him to pretend he'd rather be anywhere but the deck of his own ship.
We're Caffeine and Curses. The Library started as my design research — I can't put Manon on a shirt without knowing which way the iron teeth snap — so we keep the notes here where everyone can use them. The pages are fan-made, not official; the licensed designs are in the shop.
