One temple on one isle marked the heroine and unmade the villain — and nobody at Basgiath ever put it on a map.

The isle of the war goddess Dunne, where Asher dedicated an infant Violet and her silver streak began — and where Theophanie's story starts, and the marble dagger that ends it is quarried.

The silver streak

A dedication that left a mark.

Asher carried an infant Violet across an ocean to dedicate her to Dunne at Unnbriel's temple — and the silver streak that runs through her hair traces back to that day. A war goddess, a baby, and a mark nobody at Basgiath could explain, because nobody at Basgiath knew the isle existed.

The marble dagger

The isle closes its own loop.

Unnbriel is also where Theophanie's story starts, which makes it the neatest cruelty in the series: the marble dagger cut from Dunne's temple is the blade that finally kills her. The same sacred ground that marked the heroine forged the thing that ends the villain.

Region: One of the Isle Kingdoms across the Arctile Ocean — god-named, temple-held, and scrubbed from Navarre's charts.
Who holds it: Sacred to Dunne, the war goddess. A priestess isle: austere, silvered, cold.
What happened here: Asher dedicated infant Violet to Dunne at her temple — and the silver streak in her hair dates from that day.
The other origin: Theophanie's story begins here too. The same isle made the heroine and the villain.
The dagger: The marble dagger cut from Dunne's temple is the blade that finally kills Theophanie — the isle closing its own loop.
Status: Book-three ground: named, load-bearing, barely walked. What we know of it, we know from two dedications and one killing.
