The Forest House does not sit upon the Autumn Court — it is built into it, woven through the trees, the rock and the earth so that only its uppermost levels rise above the ground; the rest descends into the stone below. It is the ancestral seat of the Vanserra dynasty, and it wears its court's colours: the russet and amber, copper and red-gold of the forest that floods the land beyond its walls. Beautiful, opulent — and, like everything in Autumn, never quite unwatched.
The dynasty · Beron's hall
The cruelest High Lord's seat.
This is the house Beron Vanserra rules from — among the oldest and reputedly cruelest of the High Lords, a male who holds his power through fear and scheming and who lets lethal rivalry run among his sons. It is where Lucien grew up among those brothers, before Beron had Jesminda killed and Lucien fled the court for Spring. Eris, the eldest, is the son who stayed — the heir who learned to survive his father.

Glimpsed on the flight north.
In the war against Hybern, Feyre and Lucien cross the Autumn Court on foot, fleeing north toward the Night Court through the red-leaved woods. The Forest House belongs to that journey as Lucien's childhood home — the place he came from, set against the court they have to slip through. Soon after, Eris and his brothers find them in the Autumn woods, and the bad blood between Lucien and the family he left behind comes due.
