Gwyn Berdara · The full story
From the library, to the summit.
Light that survived the dark.
Who she is
Bookish, brave, unbroken.
Quick-witted. Warm. The humour and courage that surface through grief and absolutely undo us. Three-quarters High Fae, one-quarter river-nymph, raised in the temple at Sangravah — and the singing, and the light that rises with it. Yeah. Her.
The wound beneath
Sangravah, and Catrin.
Hybern raided the temple. She hid the children and stayed behind, and her twin Catrin was killed in front of her. Azriel carried her to the House of Wind. She hid in the library — until Nesta drew her out, and she learned she could be strong. We will never recover.
Her arc
From the library, to the summit.
- 01
Hidden
She would not leave the library. That is where Nesta found her.
- 02
Drawn out
Into Valkyrie training — and first of the three to cut the ribbon. Of course she was.
- 03
The Blood Rite
Kidnapped and forced in. One of the first females ever. We're still not over it.
- 04
Carynthian
The summit of Ramiel. Her hand on the onyx monolith. Earned.

Because I don't ever want to feel powerless again.
We're Caffeine and Curses. The Library started as my design research — I can't put Gwyn on a shirt without knowing her copper hair is pin-straight and her eyes are teal — so we keep the notes here where everyone can use them. The pages are fan-made, not official; the licensed designs are in the shop.
