The place

What it was

Sangravah was a temple of priestesses in the Night Court — a sanctuary of the Mother, where girls were raised to song, prayer, and quiet service rather than to the sword. It was the whole world of two sisters: Gwyn and Catrin Berdara, twins given to the temple, who grew up inside its devotions. For them it was not a posting but a childhood — the only home they had known.

The raid

What was taken

Sangravah was destroyed in Hybern's raid during the war that drives ACOMAF and ACOWAR. In that violence Catrin was beheaded before Gwyn's eyes, and Gwyn survived what no priestess should — the grief that sits beneath her entire story. Afterward she fled to the great library beneath the House of Wind in Velaris, hiding among its quiet stacks until Nesta drew her out and the Valkyries gave her back a way to stand. The temple is gone; what remains of it is carried in the one who walked away.
