The Faerie Land North of the Wall
Prythian
“Seven courts, each its own season or hour — eternal spring beside endless night, fenced off from mortals by an invisible wall.”
Prythian — the High Fae continent
Prythian
Seven High Courts north of the Wall, each one a near-immortal High Lord and his territory. The whole faerie continent. Feyre crosses in chapter one and none of us ever left.

The Continent of Seven Courts
The Seven Courts
Seasonal and Solar
Seven High Courts, seven near-immortal High Lords. The four Seasonal Courts — Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter — locked forever into their one season. The three Solar Courts — Dawn, Day, Night — move through all four, loveliest at the hour they're named for. We can recite this. We could recite it asleep.
Land Between the Courts
Mountains and the Middle
The harsh Illyrian mountains and the unclaimed neutral ground of the Middle sit within and between the courts. To the south, the enormous invisible Wall dividing Prythian from the Mortal Lands. To the west, across the sea, the island Kingdom of Hybern. Everything that goes wrong starts at one of those borders.
A Land of Scars
Cauldron, War, and the Mountain
In Fae lore it was made by the Cauldron, scarred by the ancient War between Fae and humans, and more recently brought to its knees beneath Amarantha, Under the Mountain. Contested, court-carved, never at peace for long. This is the homeland where Feyre crosses the Wall — and where a huntsman becomes something the Cauldron never accounted for.
