The Faerie Land North of the Wall
Prythian
“Seven courts, each its own season or hour — eternal spring beside endless night, fenced off from mortals by an invisible wall.”
Prythian — the High Fae continent
Prythian
The contested, court-carved homeland of the High Fae — seven High Courts north of the Wall, where Feyre crosses into a world of near-immortal lords.

The Continent of Seven Courts
The Seven Courts
Seasonal and Solar
Prythian is divided into seven High Courts, each ruled by a near-immortal High Lord. The four Seasonal Courts — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — are locked perpetually into a single season. The three Solar Courts — Dawn, Day, and Night — move through all four seasons but are most beautiful at the hour they are named for.
Land Between the Courts
Mountains and the Middle
The harsh Illyrian mountain territory and the unclaimed neutral ground of the Middle sit within and between the courts. To the south, an enormous invisible Wall separates Prythian from the Mortal Lands. To the west, across the sea, lies the island Kingdom of Hybern.
A Land of Scars
Cauldron, War, and the Mountain
In Fae lore, Prythian was created by the Cauldron. It was scarred by the ancient War between Fae and humans, and more recently brought to its knees beneath Amarantha's reign Under the Mountain. It is the contested, court-carved homeland where Feyre crosses the Wall.
