A seamstress from a war-camp who loved to fly.
Low-born Illyrian, about to have her wings clipped when the High Lord of the Night Court walked in and the bond snapped into place. Rhysand's mother. Murdered with her daughter by Tamlin's father and brothers. She made Feyre's dresses.
The war-camp
She was about to be clipped.
A seamstress in an Illyrian war-camp, low-born, and the camps clip their females' wings when they come of age. She loved to fly. The day they came for her wings the High Lord of the Night Court was in the camp, saw her, and the mating bond clicked into place. He married her. They were mates and, by every account including their son's, wrong for each other. He was cold and calculating. She was soft and fiery, and everyone who met her loved her.
Rhys
The camp at eight, and a ring with the Weaver.
When Rhys turned eight she took him to a war-camp to be trained like every Illyrian male. Her ring, a star sapphire, she gave him so he'd remember her. Then she took it back and hid it with the Weaver, for the woman who could get it out again. Feyre did. Rhys put it on her hand.
Murdered
Rhys told Tamlin they were coming.
Rhys had made a friend of Tamlin, the Spring Court's heir, and mentioned that his mother and sister were travelling to the camp to see him. Tamlin passed it to his father. Tamlin's father and brothers rode into the Illyrian wilds and murdered them both, and the old High Lord of Spring kept their wings. Rhys and his father killed Tamlin's brothers and parents for it, and Tamlin killed Rhysand's father. Centuries on, the dresses Rhys gave Feyre turned out to be hers: a seamstress, sewing for whoever her son would one day love.
