A cure read out of an attack.

Faebane was Hybern's quietest cruelty. Not a poison that killed — one that unmade. It sealed a faerie's magic behind their own skin and left the most powerful beings in Prythian as helpless as mortals. Then Hybern hit Velaris, and traces of it got left behind. Nuan took those samples and worked the weapon inside out until it gave up its shape. Not a miracle. A measure — enough to make faebane go largely unfelt, enough to hand the courts back their magic on the field. She gave it to Thesan, Thesan carried it to the others, and a war that should have been lost in the blood turned, in part, on a workbench in the Dawn Court. We don't think about her enough.

She belongs to Thesan's court of first light — the eastern mountains catching the sun before anywhere else in Prythian wakes. Fitting seat for someone whose whole gift is making the unseen workable. Two crafts at once: alchemy, altering what a thing is, and tinkering, building what a thing can do. High Fae of Xian heritage. And the antidote she devised was, for a moment, among the most important things made in any court. Quietly. No fanfare. That's the Dawn Court for you.
