Lady of Winter, mate to High Lord Kallias, the bell-laugh that walked out of the whole thing intact. Frost as a crown, warmth as a second skin. We've decided this is the correct way to do a Winter Court.
Who she is
Snowfall, warmed
Lady of the Winter Court. Tall and frost-graceful, white-blonde and ice-blue, snow-roses for a crown and fox-fur over her shoulders. And somehow the cold never landed on her. Her court is silver-pine and frozen lake; she's the hearth-glow inside the palace — the bell-laugh, the apple-blossom warmth, the one season the snow couldn't still. Frost-magic small enough to bloom a single ice-flower, a heart big enough to thaw whatever room she walks into. We don't make the rules.
The mate and the friend
Two bonds that held
Two threads anchor her, and both held. Kallias, High Lord of Winter and her mate — the bell-laugh going low and private the second it's just the two of them. And Morrigan of the Night Court, oldest friend, the whole bridge between Winter and Velaris basically routed through their friendship. So when the war against Hybern needed the courts to stop circling each other and stand together, Winter answered, and she was part of why. We noticed. We always notice the friendship.
Why she matters
Proof warmth survives
A saga stacked with High Ladies forged in fire and grief, and then there's Viviane — warmth that was never broken into being in the first place. The rarer thing. She draws the ice-blade only when she has to, never gladly, and her real power in the story isn't the frost in her hands, it's refusing to let her court go as cold as its weather. The living argument that softness isn't weakness, even in the most unforgiving court in Prythian. We're keeping her.
