A river that mirrors the stars

It runs through the heart of Velaris, the City of Starlight that Rhysand and the Inner Circle kept hidden from the rest of Prythian for thousands of years. The surface holds a sky that never goes fully dark, so the current carries the constellations along with it. The Rainbow on the banks, the cafes and galleries and quiet streets beyond. A place built to be lived in and loved, not feared. We'd move there tomorrow.

Starfall and Solstice

The nights the river keeps

This is the stage for the Night Court's most luminous nights. During Starfall the spirits sweep across the sky over Velaris and their light pours down onto the water. At Winter Solstice the city gathers along the banks in the cold, bright dark. The river holds both — the falling stars above, the warm lights of the longest night reflected below. We're still not over it.
