At the High Lord's shoulder. Also at his side. We noticed.
Winged warrior, captain of the Dawn Court guard, and the male Thesan loves. The war against Hybern brought every court together, and the bond between the quiet High Lord and the warrior who serves him wasn't exactly subtle. Neither were we, about it.
The captain
Guard and beloved. Both. Always.
One of the winged folk of the Dawn Court, captain of Thesan's guard — the male who keeps the High Lord of Dawn safe and the one Thesan keeps closest of all. The courts of Prythian gathered against Hybern and the nearness between the quiet High Lord and the warrior at his back was plain to anyone with eyes. Feyre clocked it among the gathered courts. So did we.
In the war
Steady through all of it.
Thesan is mild and slow to anger while the High Lords squabble, and his captain stands behind him through every word of it. They never hid what they were to each other. In a court named for first light, that devotion read like something older and gentler than the war closing in — and we were not okay about how quietly lovely that was.
