Arobynn Hamel
He found a half-frozen eight-year-old by a river and did not save her. He kept her.
Arobynn Hamel is the King of the Assassins of Rifthold in Throne of Glass — the man who found the orphaned Aelin Galathynius in the snow and rebuilt her into Celaena Sardothien. He called it love. It was the most complete act of ownership in the series.

His people
The ones who mattered.
Swipe to meet them all
The one who ended it.
His reckoning
He owned her once. In the end, she was the one who buried him.
Swipe to meet them all
What he covets
The girl he made, and the debt that never clears.
He calls it love; it was ownership with better manners.
Celaena, his masterpiece
Sharpened, broken, rebuilt to his hand — and never once allowed to be her own.
The debt
He would forgive anything and forget nothing, so the account stayed open forever.
Everyone in his orbit
Loyalty bought, extracted, or beaten in — whichever held.
The guild
The Assassins' Keep, and the throne of it, kept his.
To own what he made
He took a child and forged a weapon, then spent the rest of his life insisting she was still his. Not a daughter, not a lover — a possession he'd broken enough times to trust. The cruelty was the craft.
We're Caffeine and Curses. The Library started as my design research — I can't put Manon on a shirt without knowing which way the iron teeth snap — so we keep the notes here where everyone can use them. The pages are fan-made, not official; the licensed designs are in the shop.
