Duke Perrington
For six books the Duke was the King's brutish, red-faced right hand. There was no Duke — there hadn't been for decades.
Duke Perrington is the Duke of Morath and the King of Adarlan's cousin and chief ally in Throne of Glass — outwardly a cold, power-hungry general. He is the hollowed-out disguise of the Valg King Erawan, worn until it wears out.

His people
The ones who mattered.
Swipe to meet them all
What he covets
Everything the thing beneath him wants.
There is no Perrington to want anything — only the king wearing his face.
Adarlan's power
The empire's reach, held through a borrowed name.
Morath's rise
A fortress turned forge, breeding the horrors to come.
The disguise
A man's skin, worn long enough that no one looked underneath.
Erawan's dominion
The same as his master's — because he is his master.
What wears the man
Perrington is a mask, and the thing behind it is a Valg king. What he wants of Adarlan and Morath is only the near edge of what Erawan wants of everything. The Duke was never the point.
We're Caffeine and Curses. The Library started as my design research — I can't put Manon on a shirt without knowing which way the iron teeth snap — so we keep the notes here where everyone can use them. The pages are fan-made, not official; the licensed designs are in the shop.
