A month's penance in a crimson desert taught Celaena a way of fighting and gave her a best friend — right before that friend drugged her and left her to die.
The Deserted Land at the far south of Erilea: blood-red dunes, one green oasis, and the red sandstone Keep of the Silent Assassins, reachable only by sea or the killing Bogdano Jungle.
