Gavriel

Gavriel is a Fae warrior of Maeve's Cadre in Throne of Glass — the Lion of Doranelle, a shapeshifter with a lion's form and a soldier's grief. He found out he was a father twenty-four years too late, and got exactly one battle to be one.

The Lion loved the way he fought — quietly, completely, and with far more tenderness than a killer is supposed to have.

He learned he was a father far too late to be one — a son already grown, already at war. Aedion got a handful of moments with him before Orynth took Gavriel for good. It wasn't the life either of them should have had; it was the one they got, and he spent every hour of it trying to be worth it.
