One of thirteen, no name of her own
One of the thirteen wyverns matched to the deadliest coven in the sky — and the one the books never bothered to name, because she belongs body and wing to Sorrel.
The Third's mount
When the Blackbeak Clan came to be outfitted, the Thirteen were each matched to a wyvern, and Sorrel — the Third of the Thirteen, the steady one at Manon's back — took one of them. Unlike Manon's Abraxos, Sorrel's mount is never given a name in the books; she is one of the thirteen war-beasts that made the coven the deadliest thing the Ironteeth ever put in the air. What defines her is not a name. It is whose weight she carried, and exactly where she carried it.
Drilled for the passes
In the Ferian Gap the Thirteen did not simply learn to ride — they drilled their wyverns through narrow rocky passes until the mounts could thread terrain other clans' beasts couldn't survive. Sorrel's wyvern learned it with the rest, and it becomes a weapon: chased by six Yellowlegs, the coven splits into pairs and kills the pursuit by flying routes the enemy wyverns crash trying to follow. And when the Matron orders Asterin's execution and Manon yells at the Thirteen to run, Sorrel grabs Asterin, and her wyvern carries them both clear.
The last charge
Through Empire of Storms she carries Sorrel across the White Fang Mountains for the two-month hunt for the Crochans, on wyvern-back the whole way. At Orynth, with Abraxos grounded and Manon incapacitated by her own coven, the Thirteen charge the Morath witch-tower in formation — mounts and riders picked off one by one as they punch through the line. Sorrel is among the last to fall before Asterin reaches the Matron, and her wyvern goes down in that final charge, with her rider, in the Yielding that ends them all.

Matched to Sorrel at the outfitting, drilled through the passes with the coven, and lost with her rider in the charge that broke the Ironteeth line.
Matched at the outfitting
The Thirteen are each bonded a wyvern as they train to become the King of Adarlan's aerial legion. Sorrel, Third of the Thirteen, takes one of them — unnamed, unlike Manon's Abraxos.
The deadliest coven
Once mounted, the Thirteen rise to the highest-ranked, deadliest coven of all the clans, flying their trademark coordinated formation — Sorrel's wyvern among the thirteen.
War Games drills
In the Ferian Gap her wyvern drills with the youngest coven through the narrow mountain passes, the skill that later lets these mounts fly where enemy wyverns can't.
The escape with Asterin
When the Matron orders Asterin's execution and Manon refuses to kill her, Sorrel grabs Asterin, and her wyvern carries them both to safety as the coven breaks free.
Outflying the Yellowlegs
Fleeing Morath, the coven splits into pairs and kills six pursuing Yellowlegs by threading passes their wyverns can't manage; Sorrel's mount flies the gauntlet.
Hunting the Crochans
For roughly two months she carries Sorrel across the White Fang Mountains as Manon and the Thirteen search for the Crochan witches on wyvern-back.
The charge at Orynth
With Abraxos grounded and Manon incapacitated by her own coven, the Thirteen charge the Morath witch-tower in their trademark formation.
Picked off one by one
Mounts and riders fall breaking through the enemy line; Sorrel is among the last of the Thirteen to die before Asterin reaches the Matron.
Lost in the Yielding
Her wyvern goes down with her rider in the coven's final self-detonation — one of thirteen war-beasts that died so the tower would fall and Terrasen would stand.
