Devera runs Battle Brief — front-line casualty reports, strategy, the actual state of Navarre's fight at the wards — for the entire Riders Quadrant. Purple-haired, clipped, her chest heavy with medals that were earned and not handed to her. One of the most respected instructors at Basgiath, precisely because she won't lie to make the classroom feel safer.

When the record turned out to be a lie, she chose the truth.
As Navarre's cover-up fractures, Devera doesn't wait to be told which side she's on. She quietly prints and distributes the suppressed front-line news, then openly defects — flying to Aretia to fight the venin alongside the students she taught. The honest officer stays honest at the exact moment it finally costs her something.
