Turns out the map you were handed had an edge that wasn't the edge of the world — just the edge of what they'd let you see.

The Isle Kingdoms across the Arctile Ocean — god-named, gods watching from the trees, and proof the venin war is bigger than the Continent. The seventh breed, the wards' cure, and Andarna's kin are all out here.

The censored map

The edge of the map wasn't the edge of the world.

Navarre drew its maps to end at the coast, and the Isles are the lie in the paper. Cross the Arctile Ocean and there's a whole archipelago of god-named kingdoms — where the wards' cure, the seventh breed, and the truth about Violet all turn out to be waiting. The Continent wasn't the world. It was the part they let you see.

Where the magic thins

Beautiful, and not quite safe.

The Isles are tropical and gorgeous and just slightly wrong — the Continent's magic weakens out here, gods are worshipped island by island, and something is always watching from the trees. Deverelli sells, Unnbriel marks, Zehyllna hides luck, Hedotis betrays. Four kingdoms, four gods, one region that rewrites the whole map.

The File

Region: An archipelago across the Arctile Ocean from the Continent — a scatter of god-named kingdoms Navarre pretended weren't there.
What it is: Sun-drenched and lush, where the Continent's magic runs thin and something older watches from the canopy.
Why it matters: Everything the Continent was missing: the seventh dragon breed, a cure for the failing wards, and where Andarna's Irid lineage comes from.
The kingdoms: Deverelli of the merchants, Unnbriel of the war goddess, Zehyllna of the luck-god, Hedotis ruled by three — each sworn to a different god.
What it proves: That Navarre's maps are censored, and the war Violet was raised on was only ever half the story.
Status: The frontier of Onyx Storm — new, wide, still being charted. We know the shape of it more than the streets of it.
